This is Ms. Lyons' second year at Voss MS. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies focused in math. She started her career at Northside ISD as an AVID and math tutor, followed by becoming a 6th grade math teacher after graduating. Ms. Lyons served as a Federal Programing Council member and AVID advisory committee chair. She was awarded New Educator of the Year for her previous school and district for the 2020-2021 school year. This year Ms. Lyons is the sponsor of Student Council and Garden Club, and part of Vision team. This year Ms. Lyons will be teaching 6th grade OL and 6th grade honors math.

When not at school, Lyons can be found exploring new outdoor adventures with her fiance and two dogs, Daisy and Dallas. When not outdoors, she enjoys challenging herself both physically and mentally through hot pilaties and yoga.
