I am excited to have the opportunity to teach Honors and AP Chemistry students at Boerne High School this year.  My husband and I, with our 2 young children, moved to Boerne 12 years ago.  My son is now a student at B.H.S. and my daughter is a student at Baylor University (Sic 'Em, Bears). I am blessed to be married to a man, who also loves science.  As a family we enjoy hiking, swimming - lake or ocean, lazing around outdoors, autos - rugged or fast, and Baylor football games. 

After earning a degree in Chemistry, I worked in the field of toxicology as an Analytical Chemist for 5 years.  The lab experience exposed me to many areas of scientific application and research.  While I enjoyed my time at the lab, I eventually grew restless of glassware, machines, and animals and wanted to share my love for science and the scientific process with others.  Teaching was a natural fit.  I obtained my Teaching Certification in Secondary Science and, since then, have had the opportunity to teach a variety of science disciplines at both the middle school and high school level.  This will be my 9th year in the classroom as I spent numerous years staying home full time.
