Mrs. Olsen-Smith

Mrs. Olsen grew up in Syracuse, New York, where she graduated from Fayetteville Manlius High School in 2000. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from The Florida State University in 2004. Upon graduation, Mrs. Olsen decided to become a teacher and started course work towards her Family and Consumer Sciences certificate. Since then, Mrs. Olsen has taught and coached a combined 17 years in Florida, Colorado and Texas. Most recently, she served as the head Cross Country coach and Assistant Athletic Director at Geneva School of Boerne. Mrs. Olsen is excited to be at BMSN, where she is teaching Independent Living and Principles of Education. She also coaches volleyball, basketball and track.   

In her spare time, Mrs. Olsen enjoys running, strength training, and spending time with her husband Jeff and daughters Grace (BISD Class of 2030) and Ruby (Class of 2034).
