Mrs. Candace Hankins

Candace (Candy) Hankins is a Special Education Resource/Inclusion teacher at FORES!  She brings over 20 years of teaching experience to BISD.  She graduated from Northwestern State University in 2002 with her Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Georgia Southern in 2016 with a Master's in Reading Education.  She has taught in grades K, 1, and 3 and recently obtained her certification in Special Education, with experience in grades 3-5.  

Candace is originally from Sealy, TX and has been married for 23 years to Roger, who recently retired from the Army after 23 years. They have two children, Brooklynn (a senior at Champion HS) and Jackson (a freshman at Champion HS).  Both of them are a part of the Champion Water Polo and Swim Team!  They also have 3 crazy fur-children:  Charlie (ShihTzu), Hannah (German Shepard X) and Sadie (Golden Retriever/Collie X).

She can't wait to meet all of her amazing students at FORES!
