Mrs. Amy Smith

Mrs. Smith is beginning her second year at Van Raub Elementary and her 17th year in education overall.  She has 3 years of teaching experience in pre-kindergarten and 12 years in second grade.  Last year, Mrs. Smith was an Inclusion Assistant in the fall and a Behavior Teaching Assistant in the spring.  She is looking forward to her newest role as a Special Education Inclusion teacher for 3rd and 4th grade.  Helping students reach their full potential is her passion!

Mrs. Smith is a proud graduate of Baylor University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  Over time, she earned her Early Childhood endorsement, ESL and Special Education certificate.  

When Mrs. Smith is not at school, she loves spending time with her family, reading, exercising, fishing, going to the beach, and learning to play golf.

She is excited for the new school year and thankful to be a part of the Roadrunner family!
