Eagles Volunteer at San Antonio Food Bank

Eagles Staff

Captain Mark T. Voss Middle School staff and faculty began a legacy of service on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, by visiting the San Antonio Food Bank and sorting boxes of donated food to be distributed to local families. The Eagles worked with other volunteers to sort 14,725 pounds of food. That food will supply families and those in need with 11,801 meals. The San Antonio Food Bank provides meals to 58,000 people a week.

Captain Voss was known for his service not only to his country but also to the communties of Boerne and Bergheim. Because of Captain Voss' dedication to service, that is the first core belief of the Voss Eagles.

Throughout the 2019-2020 school year, and years to come, staff and students will be performing and participating in acts of service both in and outside of school.
