Attention Incoming 7th Graders

Attention incoming 7th grade parents:

All students entering the 7th grade are required by Texas Department Health Services to have received additional vaccines. These vaccinations are required by the first day of school for BOTH In-person and E-learning students. All 7th grade students are required to have the following shots:

Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis‐containing vaccine). 

MCV (Meningococcal)

First, please check your child’s home immunization record for the above vaccines as you may find your child has already received the required immunizations, but that a copy was not delivered to the school nurse. If so, please email the updated record to  If your child has a vaccination exemption waiver, you are receiving this email because that waiver will expire before school starts next year.

If you do not have a record of the above required immunizations at home, please check with your child's physician. You may be informed that your child is up to date on all required immunizations, then you only need to request and obtain a copy. Once received, please email the vaccine updates to

If your child still needs to receive immunizations, check with your child's physician as to the best time to get a vaccine appointment. Once your child receives the immunizations, please email a copy to, or have your child bring in a copy.

Texas Minimum State Vaccine Requirements, requires that a student may not start the school year until this documentation is submitted.  I do everything possible to keep that from happening, so I need your help!  Please let me know if you have any questions. Stay well!
