BOERNE, Tx- Boerne’s Executive Director of Student Support Services, Lesa Pritchard, has been elected to lead the largest organization for school counselors in the state. “It means a lot to have the opportunity to represent your peers,” said Pritchard.
The Texas School Counselors Association has more than 2,000 school professionals as members and has been a resource for counselors for more than half a century. Pritchard will serve as President-Elect for one year beginning July 2019. She will move into her role as President in July 2020 and will serve a full year term.
The Texas School Counselors Association’s current President-Elect, Dr. Kimberly Ridgely of Northside Independent School District, nominated Pritchard to be considered for the role. Members then elected her into the position for which she said she is honored to fill.
The Boerne Independent School District Board of Trustees will commend Pritchard for this achievement at their December 17 school board meeting.
