Boerne, TX- Two school zones inside the Boerne Independent School District recently saw the completion of improvement projects.
The first is a City of Boerne project at Esser Road (FM 474) and Greyhound Lane. The City of Boerne recently added a flashing school zone light like drivers see in other school zones in the district.
“This road is a high traffic area and we think a school zone was an appropriate addition,” said Mark Stahl the Executive Director of BISD Operations.
The second improvement is the recent completion of a traffic signal on SH 46 at Esperanza and Copper Creek. For one week prior to the addition, portable message boards on SH 46 advised motorists of the additions said Texas Department of Transportation officials.
Our district would like to remind drivers in the area to remain alert to changes to their usual commute that might result from these improvements.
Upcoming improvements include the city adding a sidewalk bridge at Bentwood Drive and Greyhound Lane.
