In preparation for the 2019-2020 school year, Boerne ISD’s Teaching and Learning Department recently held a week-long professional development opportunity for new and returning teachers called Boerne U.
Boerne ISD teachers had the opportunity to enjoy a selection of ninety-minute elective workshops covering a variety of topics from website editing and design to new strategies for teaching writing to young minds.
The Teaching and Learning Department even went so far as to work in partnership with the local Boys and Girls Club to provide all children of staff members attending Boerne U with free childcare, arts & crafts, STEM activities, reading, outdoor fun, and more.
Boerne U provided teachers not only with practical information applicable to their responsibilities but also gave them the opportunity to be inspired and refreshed before heading into this new school year.
