Our Boerne Future Farmers of America (FFA) members have been hard at work since mid-August, preparing for the busy Leadership Development Event (LDE) season that has recently come to a close. We are excited to share that because of their extensive preparation, this group of FFA members has brought home the most banners the Boerne FFA has seen in years!
On Wednesday, November 20, our Public Relations Team (Sarah Bynum, Anna Wyle, Chase House, and Kaelin Daniel, pictured to the left) and Job Interview Candidate (Kassidy Langlinais) competed in the Area VII Leadership Development Events in Blanco, Texas.
The Public Relations competition involves creating a presentation for incoming 8th-grade students and parents. The team received fourth place, only missing advancement to State by two spots.
In the Job Interview contest, candidates are judged on a cover letter, resume, phone interview, personal interview, and follow up letter for a job of their choosing. Our Job Interview candidate, Kassidy Langlinais, took first place and will advance to the Texas FFA State LDEs on December 6-7, 2019 at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX!
