Kendall Elementary PTO Makes Large Donation For Outdoor Classroom

Kendall PTO The Kendall Elementary Parent Teacher Organization and Boerne ISD are excited to break ground on a new outdoor classroom for Kendall Elementary in Boerne, Texas.

On Tuesday, February 11, the Kendall Elementary PTO presented BISD with a check for $75,000 to begin construction on a new outdoor classroom space for Kendall Elementary.  The project began in 2016 with the KES PTO working to raise money for an outdoor pavilion to be used by all students for classroom projects, assemblies, and more.

The KES PTO has been working to raise support for several years through annual fundraising campaigns including PTO membership drives, Run the Gauntlet (the annual KES fun run), and through the sale of spirit wear and other activities. This could not have been done without the fantastic Kendall students that did their own fundraising each year as they prepared for Run the Gauntlet. “We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our Kendall Community. We would not be able to fund such a large project without the dedication and generosity of our Kendall Families, Business Sponsors, PTO Members, and the staff at Kendall,” said Kendra Roller PTO Co-President.

Check The students at KES have heard about the outdoor classroom for several years and will now be able to watch the vision take form as construction begins immediately. “We are so thankful and fortunate for the support of the PTO, Boerne ISD, and Kendall families for an amazing outdoor learning space where students can read, explore, and create! We are blessed to have such dedicated community, staff and parents working together as we embark on this innovative space becoming a reality,” said Marshay Wolff KES Principal. Kendall Elementary PTO is proud to bring this outdoor classroom to our campus with the support of BISD.
