May 26, 2020- Boerne ISD is proud to announce that Champion High School Senior Alexandra Purchatzke earned third-place in the State Citizen Bee Competition earning her a $1,000 scholarship. Purchatzke is the first student in Champion history to answer all four oral questions correctly in a competition.
In the format of the State Competition, one student from each region in Texas competed by taking a 35 question multiple choice exam and answering four oral questions. The oral questions were on Current Events, Historic People, Documents/Supreme Court Cases, and the Constitution.
