Herff Principal Tate Selected TEPSA Region 20 President

Tanya Tate TEPSA Region 20 President September 22, 2020- The Boerne Independent School District has announced that Herff Elementary School Principal Tanya Tate has been selected as the 2020-21 Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA) Region 20 President. Tate has served in the education industry for 21 years, including the last two as Herff’s principal. 

“I am honored to be selected to serve as TEPSA’s Region 20 President,” said Tate. “We have many wonderful things happening in our schools, not only at Herff, but in BISD and across Region 20. I look forward to continuing to ensure a top-quality education for all PK-8 students,” Tate stated.

Herff Elementary has over 460 students and nearly 60 staff members. 

As TEPSA's Region 20 President, Tate works with the Board of Directors on behalf of the Region. Additionally, Tate works with TEPSA at the state level to set and lead the association's strategic direction and maintain a positive impact on legislators, policymakers, and other stakeholders.

TEPSA has more than 5,900 members who direct the activities of more than 3 million PK-8 school children.
