IMPORTANT UPDATE- Boerne ISD Schools to Resume Mon. Feb. 22nd

February 19th, 2021We are excited that Boerne ISD schools will reopen for both In-Person and E-Learning, Monday, February 22nd, using normal start times.

We know the past week has brought challenges and hardships to many of your homes. We hope that returning to school will be the start of a return to normalcy for you and your families.

We want to assure you that our schools are safe. A couple of our schools still have minor issues. Due to flooding in a few classrooms in Boerne Middle School South, the campus administration is working on adjusting room schedules accordingly.  Instruction will resume on Monday, February 22nd on-site for in-person students and virtual for E-Learning students. Students will be made aware of any classroom relocations at that time.

Additionally, the San Antonio Water System is working to restore water to the Van Raub Elementary building as quickly as possible. Should the water not be restored at VRES by Sunday afternoon (2/21) at 3pm, VRES will provide virtual instruction for all students beginning on Monday, February 22nd. E-Learning will continue at VRES until the campus has water service restored. Families at BMSS and VRES will receive additional information from their principal.

We do not have any additional issues to report at our remaining campuses at this time.

Our maintenance and custodial staff continue to work hard to ensure that our schools and district buildings are safe and secure from storm damage. We sincerely thank them for their hard work and dedication.

We look forward to seeing our students and staff on Monday! Thank you for your patience and support during these unprecedented times. Our top priority has always been the safety of our students, parents, teachers, and staff.

Stay safe and use caution. Please contact your school directly should you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Boerne ISD
