April 17th, 2021- The Boerne High School Boys Soccer Team won the 2021 UIL Class 4-A State Championship on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Fort-Worth Diamond Hill Jarvis. It’s the Greyhounds first soccer state championship since 2006.
Landon Murphy earned tournament MVP honors as Boerne finished their storybook season with a record of 22-1-1.
The Greyhounds, who lost their opening match of the season to San Antonio Lee, went 22-0-1 in their final 23 matches, including winning seven playoff matches to earn the state crown. In their final three playoff matches the Greyhounds allowed just one goal, and outscored their opponents by a total of 12-1.
