Boerne ISD Names New Fair Oaks Ranch Principal

Shults FORESJune 14th, 2021-The Boerne Independent School District has announced that Fair Oaks Ranch Acting Principal Jessica Shults has been named the Mustangs new Principal. Shults’ appointment was approved by the Board of Trustees at the Special Meeting/Budget Workshop on June 14th.

“We are absolutely thrilled that Jessica will be the new principal at Fair Oaks Ranch. She has formed very positive relationships with students, parents, and staff in her years there as an Assistant Principal and as Acting Principal, said Boerne ISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas Price. “We know that Jessica will work tirelessly for the Fair Oaks Ranch community and to continue the success that we have had in the past. We are very happy for Jessica, her family, and everyone in the Fair Oaks Ranch community,” stated Price.

An educator for over 15 years, Mrs. Shults started at Fair Oaks Ranch in June 2016 as Assistant Principal, before serving as Acting Principal in January 2021. During her time with Boerne ISD, Mrs. Shults has also served as Summer School Principal in June 2020, as well as E-Learning Principal during the 2020-21 school year. Shults has been an elementary administrator for seven years. 

Mrs. Shults was an integral part of Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary being named a National Showcase school two years in a row (2019-20, 2020-21).

Prior to coming to Boerne ISD, Mrs. Shults taught at Northside ISD at Adams Hill Elementary (2005-2010) and Leon Springs Elementary (2010-2014), as well as served as Summer School Coordinator (2014-2016) and an Administrator Intern at Glenoaks Elementary School (2014-2016). Mrs. Shults was named Adams Hill Elementary School Teacher of the Year during the 2009-10 school year. 

Mrs. Shults’ husband Michael is a Network Engineer for Bandera Electric Cooperative, and their daughter Kara will be in 4th grade at Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary.
