July 22nd, 2021- The Boerne Independent School District is excited to announce that current Boerne-Champion Principal Eddie Ashley has applied for and has been promoted as the district’s new Director of Purchasing. Mr. Ashley will remain Champion Principal until a replacement is named following a nationwide search by the District.
“We are very happy for Eddie to continue serving the Boerne ISD family at the district level,” said Boerne ISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas Price. “He has done a tremendous job as Principal at Champion and has helped build a positive culture on that campus. Mr. Ashley is well respected by his staff, students, and parents. I am very proud of what Eddie has achieved in the past and will achieve in the future in Boerne ISD,” Price stated.
“This next step in my career journey has been long sought after. It has been my goal to join the team at Central Office to help lead the district from the business side,” Mr. Ashley said. “I am honored to accept this promotion and look forward to using my experience as a principal at the district level,” Ashley said.
Mr. Ashley came to Champion in 2010 as Assistant Principal, before becoming Academic Dean from 2012-2017. He has served as Champion’s Principal since 2017.
Prior to coming to Boerne ISD Mr. Ashley taught at Northside ISD from 2002-2010.
