top high schoolsMay 2, 2022- The Boerne Independent School District is proud to announce that both Champion and Boerne High School were once again named two of the best public high schools in the San Antonio Area by U.S News and World Report. Champion was ranked 12th, while Boerne was 17th.

Champion was ranked the fourth-best comprehensive, or non-magnet high school on the list, while Boerne is the seventh-best.

“To have both Champion and Boerne ranked among the best high schools in the area once again is a tremendous honor, as well as a testament to the campus administration, teachers, and staff,” said Boerne ISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas Price. “It is no secret that Boerne ISD is consistently recognized, not just locally but across the state, as an exemplary school district. We are a reflection of our community, and we are the best because our community is the best,” Dr. Price stated.

The publication ranked nearly 24,000 schools, focusing on college readiness, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rates.

“Congratulations to our high school Principals, Bill Daniels and Shane Wilson, as well as their amazing students, parents, and staff for this wonderful recognition,” Dr. Price said.
