Boerne ISD to Host Parent Education Speaker Series

Parent EducationAugust 25, 2022- The Boerne Independent School District will debut the Parent Education Speaker Series, which will feature informational sessions with guest speakers to discuss issues and potential dangers in our community. The first event in the speaker series will take place on Wednesday, September 7th, from 6-7pm in the Boerne High School Auditorium, and will feature the topic, “One Pill Can Kill”. The discussion will highlight the dangers of counterfeit and illegal drugs containing fentanyl, as well as prescription drug abuse in Kendall County and our community.

 

All events are free of charge and all Boerne ISD parents and students are invited to attend. 

 

 

Future topics in the Parent Education Speaker Series are: 

 

*Cyber Danger- Monday, October 3rd, Champion HS Auditorium, 6-7pm

 

*Human Trafficking- Wednesday, November 16th, Boerne HS Auditorium, 6-7pm

 

*Blowing Smoke- Thursday, February 16th, Champion HS Auditorium, 6-7pm

 

*Emotional Safety/Behavioral Health- Monday, April 17th, Boerne HS Auditorium, 6-7pm

 

The goal of the Parent Education Series is to inform parents of potential dangers in our community, as well as to hear from experts in the field at each event.
