September 12, 2022- The Boerne Independent School District is proud to announce that Boerne High School Assistant Principal Lauren Sanders has been selected as the Region V Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals. Sanders’ honor stems from her previous position at Nederland High School in Nederland ISD, which is in Region V.
Mrs. Sanders, who is in her first year as an Assistant Principal at Boerne High School, has 12 years of experience in Education. She taught Physics, Chemistry, IPC, and P.E, and also coached softball and basketball. She served at Nederland High School for three years prior to joining Boerne High School over the summer.
Nominations are based upon exemplary performance and outstanding leadership. As a Region V winner, Mrs. Sanders is eligible to compete for the state title of Texas Assistant Principal of the Year.
Mrs. Sanders is married to Jason Sanders, who coaches girls’ basketball at Boerne Champion High School. Together they have two young boys.
