Boerne ISD School Board Approves Mid-Year Compensation Adjustments for Employees
Boerne, TX – As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, Boerne ISD is proud to share exciting news about its continued investment in the district’s dedicated staff. At the November 18, 2024, school board meeting, the Boerne ISD Board of Trustees approved a mid-year compensation adjustment to recognize and support employees for their invaluable contributions to student success and district excellence.
HOURLY STAFF PAY INCREASE
Effective January 1, 2025, hourly employees will receive a well-deserved $1.25 per hour pay increase. This adjustment highlights the district’s appreciation for the hard work and commitment these team members bring to their roles each day. From maintaining safe and welcoming campuses to ensuring smooth operations district-wide, hourly staff are integral to Boerne ISD’s success.
It is important to note that this adjustment does not apply to Transportation staff, who received a pay increase in September.
RETENTION INCENTIVE
In addition to the hourly pay increase, the Board approved a one-time retention incentive of
$300 for all employees (except substitutes, temporary employees, and contract employees) who have been employed with the district as of November 18, 2024. This gesture reflects the district’s gratitude for the dedication and long-term commitment of its staff.
ADVOCATING FOR STATE SUPPORT
Boerne ISD remains optimistic about increased financial support for public schools in the upcoming legislative session and is committed to making competitive compensation a top priority. Superintendent Dr. Kristin Craft emphasized the district’s commitment to advocating for fair funding and engaging the Boerne community to make their voices heard in Austin.
“We understand that our staff are the heart of our district, and their dedication to our students makes all the difference,” said Dr. Craft. “These mid-year adjustments are a reflection of how much we value their hard work, and we will continue to prioritize their needs as we look toward the future.”
