Dr. Kathy Stewart

Hello Fabra Falcons!!! This will be my 39th year in education!! I have taught 2nd, 4th, and 6th grades for 18 years. In addition to teaching, I spent 20 years of my career leading K-12 Statewide Initiatives at the Texas Education Agency in Austin, Texas. While at TEA, I led Reading First, Texas Teacher Reading Academies, and numerous Educational Initiatives for Texas. 

I graduated from Texas State University with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, A&M-Corpus Christi, with my Masters Degree in Educational Administration with Mid-Management, and A&M-College Station with my Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Educational Administration. I LOVE being a lifelong learner.

I have an AWESOME husband, Brian Bartos, who works for CPS Energy as Senior Director, Distribution Engineering, and two beautiful daughters Tatiana and Katya. It is a BIG senior year for our family. Tatiana will be a senior at Angelo State University and graduate in May with a degree in Animal Science. She hopes to continue her studies to become a Veterinarian. Katya is a senior at Boerne High School. She plans to attend Texas State with a focus on pre-med. She plans to be a Pediatric Surgeon. 

We recently built a home outside of Boerne and spend our weekends working on projects to finish our home. We have a “house divided”. My husband is a HUGE Longhorn fan as a UT Graduate, and I’m an awesome AGGIE, so there is always competition action going on at home. WHOOP!! Gig’em!!

 Let’s make this an amazing school year!! Together we can move mountains!!
