Mrs. Ortega

Greetings! I'm Mrs Ortega and I am so excited to begin my tenth year teaching as a Kendall Knight! I am new to Boerne and I am so happy to be a part of such an amazing faculty.

   My husband and I live in San Antonio with our son Dominic, who will be a freshman at Champion this year. Go Chargers! We have a dog (Ranger), a cat (Fisher), a leopard gecko (Nala), and a betta fish named Zissou. We love animals and nature and hope to have chickens after our house is finished being built. 

   I spend my free time hiking, biking, kayaking, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. My passion is traveling. I have been to 47 states as well as quite a few countries and US territories. I also LOVE to read and I always bring a book along with me on my travels. I spend a lot of time being "Aunt Breezy" to my seven nieces and nephews. 

  I am super excited about this year in particular because it will be my first year at Kendall Elementary! The last two years were certainly a challenge, but I have learned so much and I have a lot of new and fun technology tools in my toolbox now. This is going to be a great year!
