September 27, 2021- The Boerne Independent School District placed Eight schools in the 2021-22 Niche Top 25 Best Schools rankings.
“It is no secret that our schools are some of the best in the area, as well as the state,” said Boerne ISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas Price. “Our record-breaking enrollment numbers confirm that people move to Boerne in large part because of our schools. Anytime you can have your schools ranked highly by a very respected organization like Niche it confirms that you are doing things the right way,” stated Price.
Both Champion and Boerne High Schools were ranked in the Top 25 Best Public High Schools in the San Antonio area, coming in at #6 and #17 respectively. Champion was ranked as the third-best traditional school or non-charter school on the list.
Boerne Middle School South and Boerne Middle School North ranked 10th and 17th overall in the Top 25 Best Middle School category and the seventh and 12th-best traditional or non-charter school.
Four Boerne ISD Elementary Schools made the Top 25, with Fair Oaks Ranch (8th) and Cibolo Creek (17th) in the top 25 overall. Fair Oaks and Cibolo Creek were ranked fifth and 14th in the traditional school or non-charter school category, with Herff and Kendall ranking 15th and 24th best on that same list.
“The rankings for our schools are a credit to the leadership of our principals and their hard-working staff,” Price said. “A huge congratulations also goes out to our students and parents as well. It is a team effort, and everyone deserves praise for earning these rankings,” Price concluded.
According to Nich, the 2022 Best Public High Schools ranking is based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, and high school ratings.
