Boerne ISD Board of Trustees Approve Elementary Attendance Boundaries

boundariesApril 16, 2024- The Boerne Independent School District Board of Trustees gave final approval to update elementary school attendance boundaries at their regular monthly meeting on Monday night. The new boundaries create an attendance zone for Viola Wilson Elementary and provide enrollment relief for Fabra Elementary, Kendall Elementary, and Van Raub Elementary.

The board approved Option A with adjustments. To view the approved 2024-25 elementary attendance zones, please click here.

Rising 5th graders and their siblings will have the option to “grandfather” for one year, allowing them the option to stay enrolled at their current campuses. Families who opt to “grandfather” students are responsible for providing their own transportation.

The Boerne ISD community was an integral part of the process. Boundary options were proposed by the Camus Boundary Committee (CBC) and recommended to move forward for community feedback. The committee included parent representation from every elementary school, as well as community members, and elementary principals.

The new elementary school attendance zones will go into effect at the start of the 2024-25 school year. We will begin sending communications to elementary families this week.
