Boerne HS, Champion HS make it onto U.S. News and World Rankings of Best High Schools

Boerne, TX – Boerne ISD is proud to share that Boerne High School and Champion High School were both named to U.S. News and World Report’s Best High School Rankings list for 2026-27.

U.S. News assesses over 27,000 public schools each year and ranks nearly 18,000. The factors used to create the rankings focus on college readiness, the breadth of college curriculum offered, state assessment proficiency, performance on state assessments, underserved student populations, and graduation rates.

Boerne High School came in at #210 in Texas and #1,664 nationally, while Champion High School came in at #157 in Texas and #1,211 in the country.

Chief Instructional Officer, Larissa Flores, shared, “There are nearly 3,400 public high schools across Texas. Only 2,297 qualified to be ranked by U.S. News and World. Having our two stellar high schools rank so highly not just in Texas, but nationally, is a testament to the work our educators do to prepare our students for an ever-changing future. We are honored to be included.”

Superintendent, Kristin Craft, Ed.D., added, “The state of Texas has high standards for its students. As a district, exposing them to challenging and rigorous curriculum is something that our families expect and our students deserve. I’m proud of all of our teachers for helping us achieve this. We all do our part to prepare students for whatever adventures await them. From the littlest kindergarteners to our graduating seniors, Boerne ISD teachers and staff are here for every student, every day.”
