Extracurricular Leadership Council

The Boerne Extracurricular Leadership Council strives to create leaders that inspire the community on and off the field of competition through their commitment to themselves, their teammates and peers, and the Boerne community in its entirety. As a member of this program, you will stay strong in the face of defeat, stay humble in the face of victory and remain devoted to your teammates and athletic and fine arts programs. The Leadership Council unites select junior and senior students from Boerne High School and Champion High School, in their quest to exhibit excellent sportsmanship and citizenship while fostering an atmosphere of respect, positivity and success.

Below is a list of characteristics/qualifications:

• Outstanding sportsmanship and citizenship on and off the field of competition
• At least one year of experience in athletics or fine arts
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to carry out instruction
• Ability to create a positive, inclusive team environment
• Demonstrates a high level of commitment
• Possesses a positive attitude and a growth mindset
• Ability to hold oneself and others accountable
