To inquire about a unique residency situation, contact the student's future school registrar's office or the Administrative Services Department at (830) 357-2011.

It is recommended that you have separate JPEG or PDF files (HEIC files cannot be read by the system) scanned and ready to upload. This will minimize any delay in processing your child’s enrollment due to missing documents.

REQUIRED:

• Proof of Boerne ISD Residency: To confirm your address within the Boerne Independent School District:
  • Homeowners must provide a full-page copy of a recent utility bill (Water, gas, or electric. Cell phone bills are not accepted.).
  • Renters should present a current, signed lease agreement with the parent or guardian listed as the leaseholder or occupant.
  • For unique living situations, a Declaration of Residence (Spanish) or Grandparent Care Affidavit  (Spanish) must be completed by the parent or guardian and homeowner or leaseholder. Basic proof of residence for the homeowner or leaseholder is required.
• Parent/Guardian Identification: To ensure a secure enrollment process, we will need a current government-issued photo ID from a parent or guardian.
• Student's Immunization Record: Acceptable documents include current up-to-date immunization record or records for exemption from immunization for reason of conscience. For detailed requirements, please visit Boerne ISD’s Immunization Requirements page.
• Student's Birth Certificate (or equivalent):  A certified copy of the student's birth certificate is required. Alternatively, a valid passport or a vital statistics document is acceptable.

RECOMMENDED:

• Student's Social Security Number: While not required, Social Security numbers are used for the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS). Students without a Social Security number will be issued a State ID for PEIMS purposes, per TEC §25.001(b)(5).

If this is your first time enrolling a student in Boerne ISD, you will need to create a Skyward Family Access account to start and track your enrollment progress:

Create an Account

After creating an account:

1. You will receive a message from noreply@boerneisd.net containing your Skyward Username.
2. Use the Username to establish a password.
3. Keep your email, username, and password for future use.

Use Skyward Family Access to Enroll a New Student:

1. Login to Skyward with your newly-created information
2. Click the down-arrow next to the House icon at the top of the screen. 
3. Choose "New Student Enrollment." 
4. Click the tile and complete the form.

If you already use Skyward Family Access and need to enroll a new student, please:

1. Login to your current Skyward Family Access account
2. Click the down arrow next to the House tile at the top of the screen
3. Choose "New Student  Enrollment"
4. Click on the tile and complete the form.

If your student is returning to us next year, please use Skyward Family Access to Register Your Student(s):

1. Login to Skyward with your Skyward Family Access credentials
2. Click the "Returning Student Registration" tile for EACH student
3. Complete the form for EACH student
4. Former Boerne ISD Skyward User

If you have ever created a Skyward account for Boerne ISD and are enrolling a student who previously attended or was serviced by Boerne ISD, withdrew, and is returning to a BISD school:

1. Contact the campus to reactivate your Skyward account.
2. Once your account has been reactivated, follow the steps listed for returning students.

Use Skyward Family Access

Kindergarten

Children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1 of the school year are eligible to begin Kindergarten that Fall. Enrollment must be completed separately for each student.

In order to help with this process, campuses hold "Pre-K and Kindergarten Round Up" events each Spring. These events allow families to tour the campus and get in-person answers to questions.

Pre-K

Boerne ISD's Pre-Kindergarten program is designed to develop skills necessary for success in the regular public school curriculum, including language, mathematics, and social skills. 

BISD offers a Pre-K program for students that are 4 years old on or before September 1 of the school year and meet an area of eligibility.
