    Materials:

Students are expected to use a composition notebook for labs, notes, and other assignments. One is being provided for each student, however a student can opt to bring his or her own. A spiral notebook is also being offered to students for classroom use (as far as current supply allows). Students are expected to bring standard classroom materials with them (pencils, pens, paper, etc…). Materials will be given if available, however if lack of supplies on a student’s part begins to affect his or her grade then parent contact will be made.

    Classroom Policy and Procedure:

    1. Be respectful
    2. Be punctual
    3. Adhere to Lab Safety Guidelines and individual lab procedures
    4. Unless otherwise instructed, Cell Phone Use Is Not Allowed

***Refusal to adhere to cell phone policy will result in confiscation of phone after the first warning. Phone will be returned at the end of the class period**

    1st offense: Verbal warning

    2nd offense: Student/Teacher conference

    3rd offense: Parent contact

    4th+ offense: Referral

    * Notice*

Severe infractions of these rules or other campus/district policies including (but not limited to) infractions that result in unsafe environment for fellow students will result in immediate removal of student from classroom. Student will be directed to report to administration pending referral

    *Notice*

    Grading:

    Daily work - 30%

    Labs - 40%

    Tests - 30%

    Retesting/Late Work:

Retesting must be done within a week of the initial date of testing. Maximum grade for a retest is a 70. Maximum grade for any late work is a 70. Per policy, late work will only be accepted until the assessment for that unit is given. If absent, a student will have extra time to turn in assignments missed up to the number of days he or she was absent with no late penalty.

    Tutorials:

Available Mon-Thurs. 4 PM - 5 PM unless otherwise committed.

Due to a shifting schedule, tutoring is preferably by appointment. If necessary, times may shift or be extended.
