Ms. Ashley Maytum

Ms. Maytum is beginning her 2nd year of teaching 1st Grade.  She taught Pre-K for 2 years, worked at the Boerne Family YMCA for 10 years and was a part of the Counseling Department at CCES for a year and a half.  Ms. Maytum graduated from The University of the Incarnate Word with her Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies Early Childhood - 4th Grade. She also earned her Special Education certification for early childhood through 12th grade.

Ms. Maytum is so excited about teaching 1st grade this year!  Teaching is such a rewarding job and she loves getting to watch her students grow physically, emotionally, socially and academically, throughout the year.  There is nothing like getting to be a part of watching these kiddos come in at the beginning of a new school year excited but nervous, knowing a few words and then leaving as confident readers, writers, scientists and mathematicians!

Ms. Maytum has 2 children. Heidi will be a freshman in college, playing softball and Campbell will be a 5th grader here at CCES.  They enjoy spending time together at the beach, fishing, sporting events and concerts.
