Boerne Bulletin: Traffic & Safety Updates for Start of School
Dear Boerne ISD Community,
As many of you may have seen, the City of Boerne is continuing construction on Adler Road. We wanted to update you on what this means for the start of the school year. Due to the temporary road being washed away during the flooding in our area in July, the city decided it was most effective to close the road completely until the work is completed. This decision helps get the final road finished weeks sooner than anticipated. This means that traffic on alternate routes, such as Blanco Road, Plant Road, and others will be heightened.
Safety personnel
Safety is our top priority. In order to ensure safe travel to all of our campuses, we will have an increased law enforcement presence near many of our campuses beginning Tuesday morning. This may create shifts in traffic patterns as we work with the City of Boerne and Kendall County to help our staff, students, and families get to their buildings for a strong start to the school year.
Bus Riders
To accommodate the change, Boerne ISD has altered transportation routes to avoid the construction areas. If your students are on Transportation routes affected by the construction, you will receive updates about that specific route.
Boerne ISD has updated our website resources with these changes. Parents can go to www.boerneisd.net and select “Bus Routes” from the quick links to access information on their student’s bus stop and route.
