Welcome to Boerne Middle School North,

I want to welcome all of our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Greyhounds and their families to Boerne Middle School North!  I am excited to welcome you to what I believe is the best middle school in Texas filled with 100% Purple Pride!  I have no doubt that with our daily focus on Academics, Behavior, and Character and support from parents at home, BMSN will help develop the whole child who grows in independence and who is ready to tackle the challenges of high school in three, short years.  The main reason BMSN is so amazing is because of the incredible teachers and staff who are dedicated, passionate, hard-working, innovative, and who truly care about building positive relationships with students every day.

Our campus has been part of the Region 20 Positive Behavior Support (PBS-CHAMPS) cadre since 2006 where we proactively plan for positive ways to reward students who strive to reach our high standards for Academics, Behavior, and Character.  I get excited each year when our staff recognizes students for our Top Dog Award, our No Zeroes No Late Work Celebration, our Outstanding Student Breakfasts, our All A Honor Roll Lunches, and our Top Dog Lunch.

The BMSN Positive Behavior Support plan begins with our Boerne Bucks reward system where teachers award Boerne Bucks, at a ten-cent value each, to students who are meeting or exceeding our behavior expectations within the classroom and around campus.  These Boerne Bucks are then redeemed for cafeteria food for breakfast or lunch, for Study Hall snacks, for theatre play tickets throughout the year, for paper/pencil/pen supplies in the front office, and for cold Gatorade in the front office after school.  We then take those redeemed Boerne Bucks and place them in a weekly prize hopper for $10-$25 prizes in our two prize cases displayed in the C wing.

I love the fact that BMSN works daily to build school spirit and Greyhound Pride!  We have a weekly 100% Purple Pride Friday Spirit Competition in the fall to reward students who wear their Greyhound shirts on Fridays.  We created a similar Greyhound Pride incentive in the spring for students who wear their Greyhound shirts on Fridays with our Snack Attack Friday!  Here, we randomly select one Study Hall from each grade and give every student in the Study Hall a free snack if they are caught wearing their Greyhound shirts.  100% Purple Pride lives at BMSN!

I want you to know that we will challenge our Greyhounds to strive to be their very best in Academics, Behavior, and Character every day for their three years as a BMSN Greyhound.  I know our students will feel special here at BMSN, and I know that all things are possible with hard work, GRIT, determination, persistence, and more all mixed in with plenty of fun, middle school events throughout the school year.  I am excited to have your child here at BMSN working with such amazing teachers.  100% Purple Pride & Go Greyhounds!
