My name is James Russell, and I’m a school resource officer (SRO) for the Boerne Police Department. I recently joined the program because I believe in the importance of keeping our schools safe and being a positive influence within the community. I started my career at the Kerrville Police Department where I worked on patrol for approximately six years. I was trained as an evidence technician and processed various crime scenes. Boerne is my home town, and I transferred to Boerne PD in late 2022. My wife and I have two young children, a son and a daughter, and we live a bit outside of city limits now. When I’m not at work, I enjoy either working out or working on various tech projects. Boerne ISD has maintained a reputation, and I am excited for the opportunity to contribute to the program here at Kendall Elementary!
