Mrs. Candace Warder

Mrs. Warder is a graduate of Texas A&M University.  She has been blessed to work at BISD for the past three years as a general education teacher first and then currently as a special education teacher.  Before joining Boerne, she worked for NEISD for 7 years.  She has taught 2nd and 3rd grade, before joining the special education team at Herff Elementary where she currently supports kiddos of all ages, kinder through 5th, providing resource and inclusion support for not only our in-person students but now also our virtual learners.  Mrs. Warder has a passion for working with all students to help them achieve their goals and work to their highest potential.  It is her hope that with every success, no matter how small, students will recognize their value and realize they are important and loved. It is something she tries to instill in them every day.

Mrs. Warder was born in Boerne, but as a child moved around quite a lot, spending time in New Jersey, Missouri, Dallas, England, and Belgium before finally moving back her senior year of high school to graduate as a Boerne Greyhound.  She currently lives in River Mountain Ranch with her husband Trey, and their 2 boys.  Finley is a 6th grader at Boerne Middle School North, while Rhys, just started third grade, and is proud to call himself a Herff Hawk.  In her spare time, Mrs. Warder and her family enjoy traveling, skiing, and spending summer afternoons at the river with their three dogs.
