Workplace Mentor Program for 8th Grade Students

Boerne ISD has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Toyota of Boerne to offer a workplace mentoring program to 8th grade students at North. The program will match students with an employee at Toyota of Boerne in a field the student is interested in learning more about. Students will gain the relationship of a positive role model mentor, workplace exposure, college prep, and career readiness.

Program Details:

• Application with Big Brothers Big Sisters will need to be completed.
• Interview with Big Brothers Big Sisters for matching purposes.
• Students will be matched with a mentor and meet once per month for 1 hour at Toyota of Boerne during the lunch.
• Students will be transported to Toyota of Boerne.
• Lunch will be provided as students will most likely miss their lunch period on campus.
• Limited space with currently 12 mentors
