About the Program:

BMSN is excited to begin offering an Esports club to all students and a competition team to 7th and 8th grade students who are at least 13 years of age.  Currently, students who qualify for the Esports club will have the opportunity to play Esports games at school during designated times.  At this time, Esports is a new and evolving program in our district, and  may be subject to changes in order to best serve our students.  The program will follow UIL guidelines for grades, absences, etc.  As the program evolves, we hope to add in-district competitions and expand our gaming options.

Mission Statement:

The BMSN Esports program will provide opportunities for students to use Esports as a platform to acquire critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills needed to thrive in work and in life. The BMSN Esports program will ensure that students possess the knowledge and skills needed to be society’s game changers: educated, productive, and empathetic individuals.

Goal:

The goal of this constitution is to create uniform guidelines for the club and team as a whole in regards to club standards, tryouts, officer selection, requirements to participate, and expectations as a member.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Esports Program is to give members the opportunity to:

1. Set themselves apart as leaders, maintain a positive attitude and sportsmanship when faced with challenges.

2. Perform in team activities as designated by the program

3. Encourage school spirit and community involvement

4. Work as a team to achieve common goals
