KMNM is a student led group of fifth grade students that inform the FORES campus of school happenings/clubs. This year we have 24 students which will be divided into two equal groups. Team blue and team white. Each group will do two weeks of announcements at a time. Morning announcements can be viewed on Mrs. Shults mustang corral on Fridays.
Chess club is an after-school activity that will meet on Thursdays. It is open to grades 3-5 and is designed to give students an opportunity to learn the game of chess, improve their chess skills, and to enjoy competition against their peers. Beginners will be taught the basic rules, the value of pieces, and how to checkmate their opponents. While there will be friendly competition between members, the goal of our chess club is to build the following skills: self-esteem, critical thinking, concentration, social skills, and good sportsmanship.
