Ms. Shay Lea Strain

Ms. Strain is in her 24th year of teaching.  Throughout her 24 years in education, Ms. Strain has experience in Kinder-6th grade classroom teaching, Physical Education, High School Coaching, online public education, Boerne ISD ELearning, and 11 years in administration.  Ms. Strain LOVES being back in the classroom working hands-on with her students and hopes that in all that she does her students know she loves them, they learn the value of hard work and integrity, and leave her classroom feeling confident in themselves. 

Ms. Strain graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) with her Bachelors Degree and later pursued her Masters Degree through University of Houston-Victoria.  

Ms. Strain has three children, Trapper, Tyler and Tatum, and is engaged to her fiance, Chris, who has a son named Conner.  Ms. Strain enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors.
