Mrs. Laurie Sullivan
Mrs. Sullivan is excited to start her twelfth year of teaching Special Education! This will be her second year teaching Life Skills in Boerne ISD. She previously taught in Northside ISD and Jonesboro, AR. She also serves as the Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE) campus representative. Mrs. Sullivan obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University, a Master’s degree in Teaching (Elementary) from Sacred Heart University in CT, and a certification in Special Education from Arkansas State University.
She was born and raised in Connecticut but left to join the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. She loves being able to teach not only academic subjects, but functional and vocational skills too. Her ultimate goal is to build relationships with her students and their families while also encouraging independence to become productive citizens within the community.
Mrs. Sullivan resides in Boerne with her husband of 24 years, Timothy, and their two daughters. Lauren is an 11th grader and Olivia is a 9th grader this year at Boerne High School. She is also a dog mom to three boys. In her spare time, Mrs. Sullivan loves to shop, travel, read, relax at the beach, and spend time with friends and family.
