I am married to my beautiful and caring wife Mariana, have a smart, silly and amazing five year old, Liam Gerardo, two Sulcata tortoises Dino (60 lbs) and Speedy (95 lbs), a maltipoo named Sammy, and our black goldendoodle, Luna
 
What do you like to do when you're not at school?
Spend time with my family, play basketball, travel, road trips, cook. Over the holidays I dabble a bit with Christmas lights. :)

Science & Social Studies
 
What is your favorite book?
There are so many! Most recent favorite one is Going Places by by Paul A. Reynolds
 
What is your favorite food?
Anything from the Rio Grande Valley, especially my mom's food!

Go Spurs Go!

I've run with the bulls in Pamplona Spain!

I read so much that I can't narrow it down. Probably all time favorite is the Harry Potter series because it brings back great memories with my kids.

What is your favorite part of your position?
My favorite part of my job is helping students succeed.  Whether that means supporting them educationally, socially, emotionally, or all three, you can count on me to be there for our kids.
 
Tell us about your family and pets:
I have been married to my husband Cody for twelve years.  We have a black lab named Sully and a kitty named Claire.
 
What do you like to do when you're not at school?
When I am not at school, I love spending time outdoors.  I enjoy sunshine, being around animals at the family ranch, and gardening.
 
What was your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject in school was math.  I love solving problems and determining the value of unknown integers.
 
What is your favorite book?
My favorite book is Thank You Mr. Falker by Patricia Polacco.  It is about a teacher that fully dedicated to his student’s success and encourages his students even when they face difficulties.  Mr. Falker never gives up on his students and pushes them to accomplish their dreams.
 
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food by far is ice cream.  There are so many delicious flavors and you can eat it in a cone, sandwich, or bowl.
 
Who is your favorite sports team?
My favorite team to watch from the sidelines are The Voss Eagles. I get a huge sense of pride watching our Eagles excel in and outside of the classroom.
 
What is something unique about you?
I was a guest at the White House for Halloween and got to carve pumpkins for the White House lawn when I lived in Virginia.  As a guest that day, I got to tour the inside of the house.

Campus Behavior Coordinator

  • Under the requirements of Senate Bill 107, 84th legislature, TEC 37.0012, each campus must have a staff member designated as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. As a District of Innovation, BISD has opted to designate each administrator as a campus behavior coordinator.
