Donna Oates has been a teacher for Boerne ISD since 2003 and is currently serving as the Dyslexia Specialist for Van Raub Elementary School. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Oates has been involved in many initiatives within the district. She has been a member of English/Language Arts Vertical Teams, the Long-Range Planning Committee, the Facilities Planning Committee, and the Staff Advisory Committee. Mrs. Oates also attended the Aspiring Leadership Academy. She has a master’s and a bachelor’s degree from the University of the Incarnate Word. Her teaching certification is through Schreiner University, and Mrs. Oates also holds ESL, special education, and principal certifications. Mrs. Oates and her husband, Randy, have lived in Boerne over 25 years. They have three grown children and three grandchildren.
