Mrs. Carla Brixey

Carla was born in Minnesota, but was raised in Southern California. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University. She then spent the next 10 years teaching Kindergarten and 3rd grade, in California, in the school district that she grew up in.  

 

In 2014, her family moved to Idaho. In Idaho, she had the blessed opportunity to be able to stay home and raise her family for 4 years before going back to work. Carla spent 3 years teaching preschool in Idaho, before relocating to Boerne. 

 

The Brixey family moved to Boerne in 2021 and she spent a year subbing in Boerne before deciding to go back full time. She is VERY excited to be back in her own classroom, and feels blessed to be a part of the amazing Van Raub family. 

 

Carla has been married to her husband, Beau, for 20 years and they have 4 children. They have an 11th grade son, Blake, an 8th grade son, Jordan, a 6th grade daughter, Taylor, and a 3rd grade son, Cameron. During their free time, they spend a LOT of time at the amusement parks in San Antonio and enjoy fishing and boating. Family game nights are the favorite!
