April 25, 2023- The Boerne Independent School District named Sami Gillette Principal of Cibolo Creek Elementary School. The appointment was approved by the Boerne ISD Board of Trustees at their April 24th regular monthly meeting.
Boerne ISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas Price stated, “Sami is an extraordinary person who will be an amazing Principal at Cibolo Creek. She and her husband Michael have deep roots in our community. They share the same values as their friends and neighbors in Boerne, and understand the culture of excellence at Boerne ISD.”
Mrs. Gillette has nearly 25 years of education experience and has served as Assistant Principal at Fabra Elementary for the last four years. Prior to that, Mrs.Gillette taught for twelve years in Northside ISD and, for ten years in Beaumont ISD.
She is a proud graduate of Lamar University where she earned both her Bachelors and Masters degrees.
Dr. Price concluded, “Sami is an exemplary leader but is an even better human being. We are excited for her to start as Principal at Cibolo Creek.”
Mrs. Gillette and her family have lived in Boerne since 2007. Her husband, Michael is a teacher and coach at Champion High School. They have grown twins that are products of BISD.
