Mrs. Amy Olsen

Mrs. Olsen will be teaching 8th grade ELAR and 8th grade Honors/GT ELAR. The 2022-2023 school year marks her 20th year in education.  She has taught in both middle school and high school classrooms. She taught PreAP English 2 and English 3 at Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas for twelve years. Prior to that she taught 8th grade ELAR at McKinney ISD and 9th-11th grade English and AP US History at Sherman High School.  Mrs. Olsen attended Stephen F. Austin State University graduating with a BA in English and History. She is an avid reader who carries her Kindle in her purse and is always looking for her next great read. 

Mrs. Olsen and her family moved to Boerne in 2020 from the Dallas area to be closer to family. She is married to her husband, Scott, who is also a teacher. They have two precious little girls, Faith and Lindley. They also have three dogs, Zeebadoo, an All-American mutt, Scout, the Plott Hound, and Maverick a miniature dachshund. In her spare time, Mrs. Olsen enjoys watching college football and the Dallas Cowboys, reading, sewing, fishing, and listening to great music.
