Safe Return to Schools & Continuity of Instruction Plan

Quarantines
Infected student/employee
- 5-days isolation from onset of symptoms
- No test required to return
- Must be fever-free for 24 hrs. without medication to return
Household exposure
- 5-days quarantine from onset of symptoms of the infected person
- Negative test required to return

Masks
Masks: The wearing of facemasks is optional. Masks will be available at all campuses for any student requesting one.

Symptomatic
Symptomatic: Students and staff who are symptomatic should not come to school, the district will not send students or staff home for exhibiting symptoms of COVID unless the individual is unable to participate in instruction. Individuals who are returning to school should be symptom-free for 24 hrs. prior to return. -
Exposure
Exposure: Contact tracing will not be conducted. Students/Staff will not be required to quarantine if exposed to an infected person at school/work. -
Notifications
Notifications: Parents will be notified by email of a confirmed COVID diagnosis within their child’s classroom. District staff will be notified by email of a confirmed diagnosis within the department/location. -
COVID Testing
Testing: COVID testing will be available in the campus clinic, by appointment, for students/staff and members of their immediate household. Parent permission will be required, in writing, before the testing of any student. -
Absences
Absences:
Students ‐ Absences should be reported to the campus. Students may make‐ up missed work.
Staff ‐ Absences should be reported to the direct supervisor. Leave days must be entered in Skyward.

Mitigation Resources & Vaccine Information
Mitigation We continue to direct and implement the following mitigation strategies.
- Limiting eating and drinking in class
- Disinfection of surfaces throughout the instructional day
- As always, anyone who wants to wear a face mask is welcome to do so
