Five Boerne ISD Schools Earn American Heart Association Ranking

Top 25 October 27, 2020- The Boerne Independent School District announced that five Elementary Schools have been ranked in the American Heart Association San Antonio Area Heart of Gold Top 25. The BISD schools who earned this honor are Van Raub, Cibolo Creek, Curington, Fabra, and Kendall.

The rankings are based on each school’s activities with the American Heart Association, such as overall school participation, student and staff involvement, dollars raised, and more. The BISD schools were honored at the virtual Heart of Gold Luncheon hosted by the American Heart Association.

“Our students and staff are very active in the community, so it is no surprise that five of our schools have earned Top 25 recognition,” said Boerne ISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas Price. “We are proud of the work that our campuses have done with the American Heart Association over the years. We look forward to a continued partnership,” Price concluded.

According to the American Heart Association, the five Boerne ISD elementary schools received some of the top ratings in the Northern San Antonio area, which stretches as far as Dripping Springs.

“We are excited that Van Raub has been selected as a Top 25 school. Everyone at our campus, including students, parents, and staff, has earned this recognition, said Van Raub Principal Jamie Robinson. We have a campus culture of hard work and volunteering in our community, and this award showcases that culture. Thank you to the American Heart Association for this incredible  honor.”
