Mrs. Jordan (Lane) Moellendorf

Mrs. Jordan (Lane) Moellendorf is in her tenth year of teaching and sixth year at Boerne Middle School South, where she is teaching 6th and 7th grade science. She began her career teaching math in Cabot School District (Cabot, Arkansas). Despite starting her teaching career out of state, Mrs. Moellendorf is a Boerne native. She went all through school in Boerne ISD, specifically Fabra Elementary, Curington Elementary, Middle School North, and then graduated from Boerne High School in 2007. Getting accepted to Texas A&M University, she embarked on the college journey to College Station, where two years later she had an opportunity to move to Arkansas, deciding then to transfer to the University of Central Arkansas. In 2011, Mrs. Moellendorf graduated summa cum laude from UCA with a Bachelor of Science in Education.

Moving back to Boerne, Mrs. Moellendorf was able to transition from the math classroom to science. She has developed a passion for teaching and leaving a positive impact on her students. She values student engagement and building relationships with her students. Mrs. Moellendorf was awarded the Teacher Spotlight in October 2017 and October 2019 at Boerne Middle School South and had the honor of Teacher of the Year 2019-2020. She was recently given the honor again this year as BMSS Teacher of the Year.

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Moellendorf and her husband enjoy being “dog-parents” to their adorable boxer, Oz. Her favorite hobbies are photography, reading, kayaking, fishing, and anything adventurous. She will gladly discuss sports, especially her #1 favorite, Texas A&M! Gig ‘em!
