Mrs. Zoe McMahon

Mrs. McMahon is excited to start her fourth year at BMSS.  She joined the district during the 2020-2021 school year and immediately wanted to stay with the BMSS family.  The past two years she has been at the helm of the Student Assistance Classroom and fell in love working with special education students.  Mrs. McMahon took the leap, obtaining her teaching certification in Special Education K-12.  She has a passion for these students and is looking forward to her new role as the Life Skills teacher.

Mrs. McMahon grew up in New Jersey and attended college at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she was a member of the Minuteman Marching Band.  After graduating with her Bachelors in Sociology, life took her to Summit County Colorado where she rose through the ranks at ski school and was in charge of all the seasonal children’s ski and snowboard programs as well as the All-Mountain Team at Breckenridge Ski Area.

It was during her time in Colorado that she met her husband and they both decided they wanted to trade the 10 months of winter for warmer weather and moved to Boerne in 2018.  They have two teenagers who attend school in the district and they both are active in the music program at their schools.

During her freetime, Mrs. McMahon loves spending time on the lake with her family.  When not at the lake, she enjoys time at home with her two doodles, Stella and Fuzz.  Her hobbies include cooking, music, reading, and traveling.  Mrs. McMahon also attends Community Bible Church and supports the special needs community each year by volunteering for Night to Shine.
