Boerne non-profit SAM’S Kids received a generous $5,000 grant from the GVTC Foundation Wednesday.
The grant is specified to support after-school and pull-out tutoring programs at Curington, Fabra, and Kendall Elementary Schools.
GVTC representatives said the foundation embraces a strong commitment to the communities it serves through youth programs, services, and education.
The Foundation donated the money in recognition of the contributions SAM’S Kids makes in partnership with Boerne ISD, and the community, to support students who experience language barriers and other learning difficulties.
BISD is grateful to the GVTC Foundation and their continued support of SAM’S Kids' targeted programs that serve the most vulnerable children.
